Role: Data Scientist

Location: Miami, FL – (Fully onsite)

Job Description

Requirements:

•      Clear communication skills and fluent in English.

•      Advanced level Python Programming for Data Science and Data

Engineering with minimum 3 years of professional experience in the

field.

•      Strong background in building solutions using PySpark, Scikit-learn,

Plotly/Dash and data scraping packages.

•      Microsoft Azure and Data Bricks experience is a plus.

•      Experience with ChatGPT API is a plus.

Project:

•      Work alongside a team consisting of 4 data scientists, a ML engineer

and a data engineer.

•      This person is expected to be self-sufficient; however, the

above-mentioned team will guide the contractor and assist for successful

execution.

•      Scrape data from up to 100 PDF documents with several pages to create

a regression data set.

•      Perform regression model on the dataset.

•      Combine regression model with naval architecture equations (will be

provided by the team) to build marine simulations.

•      Use the team’s existing Plotly Dash web application to create a simple

front end for the simulation model.

•      Support the team on other projects as needed.
