Job Description:

• The Database/ETL Test Engineer is a key member of software development within CHIA’s organization and our Data Operations and Technology team and will report to the Manager of Software Test. As a member of this team, the Database/ETL Test Engineer responsibilities will include the following:
• Create and execute test cases based on test strategy and test plans as defined by business requirement documents and ETL design documents.
• Test ETL Datawarehouse components and backend data-driven tests.
• Create strategies and test cases for data applications.
• Provide guidance to other team members as needed.
• Identify issues pertaining to data submissions or ETL transactions during the creation of data warehouses. Be able to discuss these issues with DBA’s, assist with remediation strategies, and help devise timelines for correction.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
• Document all problems using Azure DevOps or CHIA’s bug tracking tool and assist in their resolution.
