Role: PostgreSQL DBA 

Location: Hybrid/Midtown Jersey City, NJ | New York, NY | Charlotte, NC 2 days a week

Candidates must be LOCAL. Two times a week. No relocation considered

Candidate should have worked in long tenure projects with recent Big Banking experience and/or Capital Markets experience.

Client needs a senior (10+ years) PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support and maintain their enterprise database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with PostgreSQL in production environments, with a strong focus on performance tuning, high availability, and data integrity. Familiarity with MongoDB is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 5–6 years of experience as a Postgres DBA in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL internals, configuration, and administration
• Experience with logical and physical replication, high availability, and failover strategies
• Skilled in database performance tuning and query optimization
• Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
• MongoDB experience is a plus
• Experience in a financial services or regulated environment preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
