Job Description :

• The Virginia Department of Elections is seeking a skilled database architect with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to work with an existing software development team on an ongoing project.
• This position will support the organization’s modernization efforts by designing and implementing cloud-native database solutions in Microsoft Azure to meet the demands of highly available, transparent, and auditable public-facing data systems.
• The candidate will collaborate with engineering, analytics, and governance teams to architect resilient, scalable, and secure data platforms in compliance with regulatory and public accountability requirements.
• The role requires expertise in Azure data services, modern database lifecycle practices, and a deep appreciation for the challenges associated with high-profile, publicly scrutinized data sets.
