Description

We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst in Texas, working remotely. However, may be required to come into the Austin, Texas, Office for meetings. Looking for local candidates in Texas ONLY. Any candidate that does not have a location, rate, or not local to Texas will be reject.

 

Will be responsible for performing advanced business and systems analysis work that involves gathering, developing, and documenting business processes, quality assurance standards, and engaging with multiple business units on process improvement initiatives. The position will work in concert with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to support the organization's long-term business goals/strategy. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required for developing reports, fiscal notes, and presentations.

This role may also be responsible for the following:

  • Seeking, gathering, and analyzing information from internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Converting findings into meaningful documentation for use by the division leadership team.
  • Communicating with technical, non-technical, functional, management and senior level staff.
  • Working within cross-functional teams.
  • Taking initiative to develop and foster a collaborative approach among teams before, during and after the requirements gathering process to achieve a common mission, vision, values and goals.

The Worker must have a strong Business Analysis background with extensive experience in the following:

  • Experience with analyzing and/or implementing Process Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives and projects based on industry standards and best practices, such as LEAN/Kaizan/DMAIC methodologies.
  • Experience with analyzing and/or maintaining standard operating procedures, user guides, workflows, business requirements, audit logs, training material, and system design specifications.
  • Assessing an organization's readiness for change.
  • Skills facilitating and leading groups, to include senior level leadership teams, to clarify and define project goals, needs, scope and priorities, as well as delivering presentations for meetings involving cross-functional teams and including stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and consistent status updates and inform stakeholders and agency leadership of project progress.
  • Solid experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, and Visio).
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodologies and frameworks to include Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid.
  • Experience with IT Service Management frameworks like ITIL and tools to include OpenText PPM, Jira, and Service Now.
  • Ability to learn and or modify data within Microfocus Application Lifecycle Management, Salesforce, and SQL a plus.
