Job Overview:

We are seeking an AI Engineer / Applied AI Developer with strong hands-on development skills and a passion for rapid experimentation with emerging AI technologies. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy building functional prototypes and exploring new capabilities using large language models, generative AI tools, and cloud-based machine learning services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, research-driven environment, has a strong Python development background, and is comfortable working across APIs, data pipelines, and lightweight UI tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build AI-powered proof-of-concepts and experimental tools using Python
• Rapidly prototype applications that demonstrate new capabilities in LLMs or generative AI
• Integrate APIs and handle structured/unstructured data for downstream processing or inference
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on design, functionality, and performance
• Use Git and collaborative development tools to manage and share code
• Document findings, experiments, and implementation approaches for internal sharing

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Python (intermediate to advanced)
• Ability to independently develop working proof-of-concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with APIs, JSON, and various data formats
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and collaborative coding practices

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with LLM frameworks such as OpenAI, Hugging Face Transformers, or Anthropic
• Familiarity with cloud ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI)
• Experience building UI or demo apps using Streamlit, FastAPI, or Flask
• Exposure to prompt engineering, function calling, and chaining techniques for LLMs
• Prior work on chatbots, AI agents, summarization tools, or RAG pipelines
