Job Title: Senior API Developer – Apigee

Location: Costa Mesa, CA (Local only because there is in – person interview)

Duration: 12+ Months

 Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior API Developer with strong hands-on experience in Apigee and API development. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of microservices architecture, API security, and modern API management platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage API proxies using Apigee.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices to support APIs.
• Implement API platform features such as security, throttling, caching, logging, custom analytics, monetization, and traffic management.
• Work with API security frameworks including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other modern standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable API solutions.
• Optimize API performance and monitor using Apigee and other tools.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Apigee or similar API Management platforms (e.g., Azure APIM).
• Proficient in API design, development, and management.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of API security protocols like OAuth2, JWT, etc.
• Experience with API gateway configurations (rate limiting, caching, request/response transformation).
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
