Sr. Engineer – Network

Location: (95% remote): No more than 2 hours from El Segundo, California. Even if fully remote, client wants someone within about a couple hours of El Segundo. In case they need someone to go in to do some configuration at the Data Center. Zip code is 90245 in El Segundo.

  4. Panorama Virtual Appliance (almost a must, as long as you are an expert in configuring Palo Alto)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

This role will oversee and manage all aspects of the Beachbody network infrastructure including but not limited to: -

·        Corporate Office Networking including LAN, WLAN and WAN

·        Datacenter Networking Technologies

·        Datacenter Storage Area Networking

·        Network Security Technologies Enterprise Wide

·        Public Cloud Networking in AWS

·        Third party connectivity e.g. VPNs


Expectations of the Senior Network Engineer include: -

·        Provide 3rd level technical support for our LAN/WAN, Wireless & Security technologies.

·        Someone with great planning skills especially when it comes to more complex changes which could potentially cause an outage.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • A solid routing and switching background e.g. experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, ISR equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of Layer 3 technologies e.g. OSPF, BGP and HSRP.
  • Knowledge of experience of layer 2 technologies e.g. Spanning-tree, VPCs.
  • Paloalto firewall and Panorama configuration for all aspects of security policies, application filters, security profiles, URL Filtering, SSL Decryption, Site-to-Site VPN and Globalprotect VPN configurations. Extensive knowledges of device-groups and templates also required.
  • Advanced administration of F5 BIG IP. This includes F5 Networking, LTM virtual server creation, web redirects, SSL certification management, irules, advanced load balancing, advanced health monitors, security configurations on AFM, F5 network, VCMP etc.
  • Troubleshooting application flows with app developers, good understanding on how to use TCPDUMP and Wireshark etc. to troubleshoot suspected network issues.
  • Coordination, deployment, and rotation of public and private SSL certificates for infrastructure and public facing resources
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Computing and how to manage the UCSM
  • Good understanding of VMware Networking and experience troubleshooting the network and storage connectivity with the Fabric Interconnects
  • Responsible for Management and Maintenance both internal and external DNS including all A records, CNAMEs, MX records, SPF, etc.
  • AWS networking and security experience e.g. VPCs, NACLs, security groups, route tables, elastic load balancers, directconnect, transit gateway, route 53


SKILLS WHICH ARE ADVANTAGEOUS BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Knowledge and experience of Cisco ACI, e.g. experience managing APIC, L3outs, contracts, bridge domains, EPGs, VMM integration, switch profiles etc
  • Management and maintenance of Cisco UC environment. This includes Cisco Voice server/applications -- CUCM, Unity, voice gateway, Cube, SIP circuits, POTS lines, DIDs etc
  • Experience with network tools such as LiveAction and Netbrain
  • Knowledge and experience with Cisco ISE in respect to device administration e.g. AAA and TACACS+
  • Experience with Cisco MDS administration specifically around zoning.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki switches and Meraki wireless access points.
  • Knowledge and experience with Paloalto Prisma Access.
